Most of the numbers in our plant records name the source they come from, usually an extension publication. The ones below are either estimated, a plausible figure nobody has confirmed against a source, or contested, where the sources disagree with each other. The planner still uses them, because a garden plan needs a number, and it never passes them off as measurements.

This list is built straight from those records, so it stays current. A number leaves this page the day a source confirms it, and a new estimate appears the day it is recorded.
